I have MSY-DFW-DEN booked for this Sunday. I got an email from AA last night saying “We're expecting your flight will be busy and are giving you a chance to change flights at no charge. You can move to a flight that currently has more space if your plans are flexible.” They then provided a link that said “Show Available Flights,” which when I clicked on it said “there are no available flights.” 🙄 My travel isn’t even remotely flexible in any case, unless they are willing to fly me out a day early and pay for a night of hotel in DEN. This trip better not get screwed up!
I've gotten that email in advance of most of my flights in the past 2 weeks. DCA-LAX, LAX-DCA, CHS-ONT, LAX-DCA. It's also almost impossible to book most flights on less than 2 days notice. I had to fly to SAV and drive to CHS because DCA-CHS was sold out almost 4 days in advance.
I'm also getting the voucher bidding pop-up in the app for most of these flights, but none of them are actually overbooked by time of boarding.
