Yes, that is definitely the other option. We actually already have a reservation for a flat on the Quayside but if the requirement to self-isolate is still in effect then that would mean we wouldn't be able to see my parents. However, if we stay with them then we'd achieve that objective while still meeting the legal requirements to self-isolate.

I am not sure whether we will travel. If we did then we'd definitely want to take a PCR test before we leave the US. I would hate to self-isolate with my parents only to find out I was an asymptomatic carrier and inadvertently infected them etc. It's a trip that, given all the recent developments, probably won't happen. I am even starting to have doubts whether our November trip, timed to coincide with the Thanksgiving holiday, will even go ahead.
