I would also add as a former Super Flyers Card VISA holder... The job held must be continuous in Japan if you're not a permanent resident or Japanese citizen. I got the Mitsui-Sumitomo Supers Flyer Card and left Japan before the cards renewal year. They sent statements to Canada by Fedex - really nice. But when it came to time to renewal, the bank side refuse to renew my card. I charge the card monthly, make full payments and never late as money transfers from my Japanese bank account to the VISA.

I wrote to appeal and the response is that I am no longer living and working in Japan.
