I phoned up to cancel an Avios booking on Monday as I wanted the cash as a pose to a FTV. all smooth process and the refund went back on card yesterday....... including a £15pp offline transaction fee. When I called back to dispute this the supervisor told me it was correct as you can request a straight refund online and don’t have to choose the voucher.
didn’t think this was the case but as I don’t have any other bookings can anyone confirm either way?

it definitely is not the case you can request a refund online and you should not have been charged the offline fee. the supervisor was wrong.
