This is for a business card.
I called the number on the back of the card twice and they confirmed that there was a note saying a different department was trying to call me. The first time, it was outside the hours the other department was open. The second time, the other department's line was busy when the Amex CSR tried calling them to see if they could connect me. The regular CSR said I could continue using the card as there wasn't any alert on the card. Best she could tell was the other department needed to confirm or update some personal information. The card has been open for a year and has been used for normal spending.
