For a while at Enterprise they had a code in my profile from a former employer they kept attaching to my contracts. This was happening only at Enterprise (not National or Alamo). I did not know this was happening, when I reserved I was logging in via Emerald Club and was not getting contracted rates, however when I would go to rent the vehicle at Enterprise and they'd key in my DL number, somehow it was still linked to some Enterprise Plus profile I did not want that was linked to the former employer. This included attaching the former employer's address, etc. to the contracts I guess. The Enterprise people at multiple locations when I saw that "Enterprise Plus" on the contract and tried to tell them I wanted Emerald Club, said once they draw up the contract there is nothing they can do. This was back when Enterprise still used the dot matrix printers with carbon copies for the contracts. The last time, I refused to sign it and demanded they void it. Enterprise are jerks so they voided it and claimed there was no way to attach Emerald Club as they "couldn't find it" and generated me another contract with that stupid Enterprise Plus on it again. This was a problem because my Emerald Club was not getting attached to those contracts to get credits either. Soon after that, I was talking to someone from the former employer, who told me someone had called the office from Enterprise and wanted to talk to me. I had a complaint about a rental and I had filed a case and Enterprise rather than calling me at my personal number called my former employer.

Ultimately I finally got to someone in Enterprise who was able to completely void that Enterprise Plus profile I had and since then I've done multiple Enterprise rentals and when they key my DL number all that comes up is an Emerald Club profile.

The issue that can come here is if you use the contract code and then a damage claim is filed and that claim goes to your former employer (who may or may not tell you about it) and it could land you on DNR if somehow they don't get it to you.

I'd say don't use former employer contract codes. They can see usage too. It is misuse of the code. It could land you on DNR.
