Their frequent renter program doesn't seem to offer many perks.
My employer switched us to Avis/Budget last year. They matched my EE status to the lower of the 2 Preferred Plus levels. First strike. I've used them a few times, but after looking at points earned per rental, it's nowhere near as easy to earn free days. Strike 2. Luckily, our old contract with National is still active, so my expense reports get paid when I use National. Strike 3. Avis did extend my status, but I've already earned EE status again for next year without National's extension. As long as I can get a car at National, I have no reason to go to Avis.
