I've booked three domestic coach award tickets on aa.com this year (standard 25K roundtrip awards), and each time the 1000 mile booking bonus for booking online did not show up after my flights were complete. I confirmed that my PLT number was on my boarding passes and itinerary confirmation for all three trips, but nothing posted automatically. I waited at least 3 weeks after each trip was completed before calling AAdvantage CS to report the problem, at which time they quickly looked at my flight history and posted the bonus miles as requested.

My question is this, has anyone else had recurring problems with the 1000 bonus miles posting after completing award travel booked on aa.com? As far as I know, I am doing everything correctly on my end to make sure that my PLT number is in my reservation, but for some reason, after travel is complete, the reference to my FF account disappears and the bonus miles have to be added manually. Is there anything that I am not doing to get these miles to post properly without my intervention? Just curious if this is a problem that only I am having, or if it is more common?
