YQ can affect award tickets too, plus the other reasons mentioned above (not subject to discounting)
Carrier-imposed surcharges on revenue fares have nothing to do with the carrier-imposed surcharges on award tickets. There are no carried-imposed surcharges on one-way or roundtrip awards ex-US to the EU. They only come into play on ex-EU awards and are different than the surcharges on revenue fares.
