This was news a little more than a year ago, as Zephyr presented this seat solution at the Aircraft Interiors Expo i Hamburg. I'm pretty sure there was a FT thread about it (haven't searched). There has been some spread newscasts during fall 2019, and before the recent, more wide-spread attention 3 days ago, there was a small eruption also 3 months ago.
Yesteryear, Zephyr reps said the security tests process would take 3 years, before marketing to airlines and aircraft builders could start.
To me, the pictures don't show any space for carry-ons, but there might be areas concealed? The medical emergency situation on the 'top floor' appears as a possible caveat.
