I have stayed at all 3 properties around 10 years ago.
marriott hurgada. Only for a night prior to a diving live aboard. My vague recollection is that it was not somewhere I would consider staying more than one night to be honest hurgada is a low end tourist town for mainly Russian clientele
sheraton el gonna good property but needed some renovations. Close to town with good choice of restaurants good platinum treatment. Drawback no on site snorkelling/ diving
sheraton soma bay, great property with good elite treatment. Good hotel restaurants but not much outside. Good hard product but in need of cosmetic updates. Fabulous house reef and diving either off the reef or 5 minute boat trip away
as I said I was there 10 years ago so a lot could have changed, however I doubt many renovations have taken place due to lack of tourists after the Sharm tragedy.
the nicest property at soma bay was the westIn but this reflagged after a couple of years And was another hotel when I visited on 3 occasions
staff at all 3 were great. I hope Egyptian tourism will recover
