I have the Chase Rapid Rewards Priority Card that comes with an annual "$75 Southwest annual travel credit on qualifying Southwest purchases, including flights and vacations." Since I'm not planning any travel in the near future and I only have a month or so left in this current membership year, can I take advantage of the current 45% discount on purchasing RR points and buy 5000 points for a little over $75 and then have that count towards the $75 credit? I would have thought I could but then when I went to actually do this it says the points sales are done through points.com which I guess technically is not Southwest, so I'm concerned I wouldn't then get the credit. Yes? No? Anyone know? Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere, but I couldn't find it.
