I received the same update as well. I think this is automatically sent out when the case is not resolved after 3 weeks.My refund case has been opened for more than 6 weeks. i called today and they said it is going to take 9-12 weeks to process. Since I cancelled the reservation myself, I cannot ask the Iceland Authority to intervene. I just have to wait for another 6 weeks before I can receive the refund. I was surprised that Icelandair needs 12 weeks to process the refund. I cancelled my BA tickets last Wednesday and the refund was posted to my credit card 2 days later.
