I do plan on initiating the chargeback if I don't hear within 2 weeks but it's been more than 60 days since I bought the tickets so I'm not sure that I'll be successful. If that fails, as I expect it will, I'll go the route of the DOT complain after 1 month, the Iceland Authority complaint after 2 months and then will file a small claims case against them after 3 months if I'm still waiting.
My guess is you won't need to go all the way to the small claims case nor would I expect that would work for a foreign owned company.
I had purchased my tickets in January and initiated a chargeback in mid-May. They said it was totally a case they'd support so long as I had the cancellation email as well as my proof of purchase on that card. I had both. Had the Icelandic Transportation Authority not intervened and accellerated my refund I'd have stuck with that process.
