I think your best bet might be through a Canadian airport or European point, the US does not seem like a good option right now - as you will have to enter the US and that will likely be denied, unless you have an exemption. Are BA running any flights to Canada on your dates? If you are all on one ticket BA will rebook you onward with AC. I think the interlines and other agreements with WestJet have been cancelled.
