Back in April I made 3 chargebacks on canceled flights by Emirates Airlines and Royal Jordanian where all flights were roundtrip to or from the US. All flights were canceled by the airlines. I received temporary credit per chase, but since it has been already 2 statements, I decided to call for updates. The Chase dispute expert told me that both airlines are resisting and now it's in the negotiation phase. He said it's typical for airlines to do that. He couldn't provide more details on how long this going to last or the expected results. I asked more documentations is needed so I can provide, he said that I already provided that when I filed the disputes.
1) First, it's really frustrating. DOT rules are very clear. Flights were canceled by airlines. It should be enforced and not having airlines resisting. Now I don't understand what "negotiating" phase means and what result to expect. DOT rules are darn clear.
2) Booking was made through expedia but expedia directly made the transactions to airlines. I still don't understand how expedia escaped from this.
