NAS Yoichi and NAS Miyagikyo at MSRP for me this past weekend. I have several of the Yoichi-distillery exclusives, but I forgot how much I like just the regular Yoichi as well. Hoping to find something more interesting this weekend now that Father's Day is coming up (and the stimulus money from Abe is apparently scheduled to be deposited into my bank account this week!)
I’ve also grown to like the NAS Yoichi more than other bottles in that range. I never open a new bottle
until I know there’s one in the reserve. Sometimes it disappears for several months in my area so I stock up when I can and now is a good time!
I’m noticing quite a difference in the recent bottling of Yamazaki NAS (besides small changes to the label). A bit more alcohol on the nose and dare I say less depth. Could just be me. I’m going to keep buying extra bottles of Yoichi and hopefully Taketsuru if I can find it instead.
