When you open the economy as the right envisions you force those low-risk people to be exposed even though they share lives with high risk people. And we don't need to keep this up forever, what we need is mask laws with real teeth, combined with a bit of distancing (don't open up stadiums, movie theaters, bars and the like.) and R0 will go below 1.

The do-nothing approach means megadeaths.
Well that is definitely one possibility. Another is to stay in lock down like the left wants. Permanently killing millions of jobs and small businesses. At least until the election. I really enjoy flying to Kalifornia for a hair cut because the governor of my state (NJ) says it's unsafe at home.
