I am going to completely disagree with you there. I have had to cancel quite a few tickets for my family and me in the last couple of months due to COVID. BA, Turkish, Cathay Pacific, Druk Air (Bhutan flag carrier), United, Aeroplan (Air Canada), Amtrak (US rail company) were all MUCH better than VS (most refunds were received within 2-10 days with the only notable exception being Druk Air which took close to six weeks but they did state four up front so not too crazy). In my experience only TAP Portugal is the same or worse than VS. Yes VS might not be the worst airline in handling refunds right now but they are certainly in my experience well below average. Sure VS is facing huge numbers of refunds but so is every other airline in the world and plenty of them seem to have done a much better job. Also until we start seeing significant refunds from VS the fact they aren't outright denying refunds doesn't seem to be all that significant.

Heck even AirBnB has been better with their extenuating circumstances policy than VS (I have received a half-dozen full refunds within two days for normally partially refundable bookings).
