For what it’s worth and it maybe very little, but I personally would not rely on the email
or an email. From the umpteen posts on here over the years about people who haven’t received ‘the email’ whether it’s a BAEC renewal, an Avios promo or a particular specific targeted promo, or have received the email, I think we broadly agree that BA IT is somewhat sporadic and spontaneous at best.

And then in which case it’s probably best to call or use the BA webform, that is, should you not get your answer from the great sources here.
