Based on your membership year that ended on 8 June, I'm guessing you didn't meet the originally reduced tier point threshold for Gold and are therefore in the process of dropping to Silver. Your Silver status will be extended to 8 June 2022 without you having to earn any more tier points. If you earn 1,500 tier points between 9 June 2020 and 8 June 2021 you will go back up to Gold, or if you earn 1,125 tier points between 9 June 2021 and 8 June 2022 you will go back up to Gold.

I agree that this announcement doesn't really help those who dropped down a status level in the last 3-4 months, you included.
