Right, I'm clearly being very slow today, so perhaps someone can take pity on me.

My basic question is: Do tier points get reset at the start of the extended year (ie. between July 2020 and June 2021) or not?

My initially reading was that they didn't and effectively I had been given the tier point collection year I am currently in and the tier point collection that starts between July 20 and June 21 (whichever month that is) to reach whatever membership tier I am aiming for. So in my case, I'm silver, on 440 TPs with a year ending in November and I thought this meant that I would actually have until Nov 21 to get an extra 685 TPs to reach gold.

But, actually, what I now think is that my current level is being extended without me having to worry about reaching my tier point retention target. And that in my new collection year, whenever it is between July 20 and July 21, I start again at zero and need to reach a 75% tier point target for the following year. So, again in my case, at 440 TPs, I don't need to worry about flying again before November to get the extra 10 TPs I needed to retain silver. If I did earn 1125 points before November I'd earn gold. And then between Nov 20 and Nov 21, the reduced 450 TP and 1125 TP targets would apply depending on whether I want to go for gold or silver respectively.

Wow, I really failed to write that out simply didn't I?
