It was kind of there before, except not automated. I recall disputing a charge with Citi that was slightly under $30, and the agent said they'd just credit it. I was pretty unhappy with the merchant as the charge was not authorized and asked CSR if they were actually able to open an investigation and get a receipt from the merchant and the agent said that it basically wasn't worth it to them and my options were to either take the credit for the charge from Citi or not open the dispute at all. I took the credit and that was the end of it.
