Citi Disputes Automatic Under $30
So I recently filed a dispute for a recurring bill that was under $30. Should have been cancelled a while ago but merchant didn't for whatever reason. But since the dollar value is low, Citi automatically ruled in my favor and issued a "permanent" credit. But I'm wondering, isn't that a bit unfair to the merchant in case they want to fight it? I get why Citi wouldn't want to spend time and resources fighting low dollar disputes but it just seems a bit unfair to merchants unless the credit card company is the one eating the cost.
