On an impulse I bought a pint of KROGER brand Brown Butter Bourbon Truffle ice cream (on sale $1.99). Don't laugh...it is really, really good. I would absolutely buy it again. Big chunks of truffles and super creamy with lots of brown butter carmely stuff. I am very impressed. Private Selections brand. You're welcome.
I've had it and it
is good. As a matter of fact, I think Kroger vanilla/vanilla bean/French vanilla are decent too and find them comparable to Dreyer's or Breyer's.
I eat
a lot of ice cream. When I was a kid, my uncle worked for Beatrice Foods (Meadow Gold), selling ice cream. He would always bring it to us when he was in town (he supplied my other uncle's grocery store a block away). A day seldom goes by that I don't have a dish, an ice cream novelty or some other dessert
a la mode.
