They didn‘t... It was a regular LH 744 that got the Condor paint because LH needed a bird for their FRA-TPE route which was a twice-weekly service, IIRC. When not on that rotation, D-ABTD was used on the rest of LH’s longhaul network. I was on this bird on one of my SFO-FRA flights in 1995.
