The UK, for one, bent the curve later than Germany, France, Italy, Spain, and is trending in the correct direction similar to those countries, albeit flatter for a little longer. Give it a month, it will all be fine. Money will shout and scream an end to this. There is not a country on this planet that can afford to wait for a vaccine or "as long as it takes" so the doors have to open. Those countries that have a GDP that is heavily biased towards tourism will largely open with "measures in place" that will also be largely ignored and forgotten about as people become more blase about it. Back to normal as quick as possible for the 99.something% of us that have a low risk of dying to lead our lives, and by all means shield the vulnerable. Being co-opted into this mass hysteria is wearing ever so thin. Devastating the world's economy, is it worth the price? Not to me.
