I've done a search but could not see this referenced anywhere.

I booked a redemption in Y last week LAX-LHR for 2 adults and a lap infant. 34,125 Avios and taxes/fees of £140.70. Flight date tomorrow 5th June. (last day before UK quarantine)

Decided I am not ready/safe to travel yet, so have gone to change the booking under the "confidence" scheme and have been quoted an additional £260.50 of taxes/fees regardless of the date it's moved to. I can see that this is across the board for all Y redemption from the west coast (SFO/SEA/LAX). Could be a govmt change - but I've also not seen that announced.

Has this been reported/noted/announced anywhere?
