This is a hint....the 3-day minimum stay requirment for redemption is applicalbe when you use GP reservations or Hyatt central reservations.

Oftentimes, if you call the hotel directly and speak to their reservation agent, they can usually confirm you for 1 or 2 night(s) even during a weekday period.

FWIW, I've used 1 night awards during the week at the GH HK, PH Tokyo.....but YMMV. Also, it helps if you are a Diamond member.

So if you absolutely do not want to "waste" a one-night stay, then try calling the hotel directly. They will also try to free up award space even if central reservations show them as sold out.

I scored a 3 night stay at the PH Tokyo and 2 nights at GH Tokyo even when Hyatt or GP central reservations said the only option is to use the PPP Awards, which are 24K/night!
