For office based staff maybe. But for cabin crew this wouldn't work IMO, as every fleet has their own agreement. BA wants to combine LHR based cabin crew into one fleet. So if all are mixed together, then all need the same down-route rest, off schedule limits and rest at base. Worldwide and Eurofleet would need to give up their agreement / T&C's.
yes im clear on how it works and what they want, i was just keen to explore potential ideas the union could propose which could provide the required savings BUT not be accused of an attach on Ts and Cs. I’ve seen a lot from the union about how they understand cuts are needed and traffic will take years to recover and they want to be supportive. I’d be keen to know, if they understand that what TEMPORARY measures they’d support.
