Happened to be pacing the peoplemover on I-190 at a 45 MPH clip a week and a half ago when it was traveling from T3 to T5 right along the freeway. Looks like it’s still in test though the site says opening early 2020. Hope it keeps that cruising speed, which is not shabby.
When I was at the ORD rental car center back in early March, I asked a couple people at the Info booth about when the ATS would start running. They said the most recent thing they heard was quite possibly not until late this year. They went on to mention that during one of the test runs, the doors opened unexpectedly. Yikes, imagine what a disaster that would be if people were on board.
