Does this mean that I MUST find an alternative DUB-LHR to commence the trip; or could I just start out with the LHR-MIA; or is the entire trip imperilled and I must rebook everything?

Similarly, I have CE LHR-BLQ round trip with the outward flight cancelled. We can get to Bologna by other means but can we pick up the return leg of the round trip to get back to UK?

Thanks for valued advice
I suspect they will let you fly from LHR if you want, usually if it's a case of "if you don't call you we assume you're OK with your new flights" they would say so. Can't hurt to call and check, but if you want the flights to stay as they are for the US, I think that will be OK. You may even be able to ask to drop DUB on the return

What's the date for BLQ return? August? All of July is gone to Italy save for FCO, far as I can see, and I am not sure August will be much better at this point unless the govt changes the quarantine rules. I have a LHR-PSA-LHR in August which is obvs still running, we'll just have to see how it plays out. Push/Shove I will go to FCO, but too early to tell IMO what will happen. Unless you have solid plans you need to make - like book & pay for accommodation etc etc, I'd wait this out until early July.
