Sure, but it's worth mentioning that the UK's daily case number is in the 1,500s, which is approximately 5x more than the one of surrounding countries in Europe.

the BBC has been extremely negative of the whole thing recently, talking about ‘second wave’, cases ‘not going down as much as hoped’ ‘scientists worried cases it is too early for lockdown release’, the only thing for certain is cases and deaths are falling and not one country has had a real second wave so far and so far neither has the UK.

lets not forget though that they have said many times (Patrick Vallance) that the UK is at least 2 weeks behind Europe in the timing of the outbreak so all data are lagged by that amount compared to similarly affected countries (Italy, Spain)

1500 new cases may sound like a lot but it decreased 25% from the day before with roughly the same amount of tests and that’s huge!

i am actually more worried about impending civil unrest from the clear distress lockdown has been putting on people, so I think UK government will play politics to sooth people’s anger and if enough people complain about quarantine it will either be toned down or removed completely except for a very few amount of exemptions
