A very entertaining, if hyperbolic, thread.
I don’t understand what the problem is. You bought a ticket from Expedia, so you only deal with Expedia. I’m surprised AA even talked to you. A refund will be/was produced by AA to Expedia, which you will eventually get back. If you use a travel agent, the airline does not refund you, it refunds the travel agent. Timings are a bit longer these days. I don’t understand all the stuff about police complaints against directors and steal of money. And the DOT complaint really just resulted in Expedia telling you what you already knew, which is that it will eventually get around to refunding your money.
