Don't even get me started about how much of a disadvantage flying BA from West Africa is....most expensive fares, oldest airplanes, worst food etc....I'm fortunate I am able to maintain my status by combining travel with Long Haul flights via Qatar Airways for trips to Middle East/Asia and occasionally London, in lieu of 'double' tier points due to the connect in Doha
