AS will interline baggage on seperate tickets. I have done it several times, most recently AS to CX last November. AS revenue LAX-SEA-YVR to CX award YVR-JFK-HKG-CPT and short checked it to HKG as we had an 11 day stopover. AS will also "interline" to itself on seperate tickets. AS revenue PHX-PDX-LAX to AS award LAX-JFK in January.
