This shows how misleading these surveys are and how easily they can be manipulated. Rating airlines based on the highest value = 7 and the lowest = 1,regardless of what the perceived value actually is, will give a much different answer than “On a scale of 1-7, how do you rate the value you received from the airline you fly with most often?”
Instead of rating airlines highest to lowest, where high implies good, I would like them to see them ask, “Thinking about the total airline experience for your last ten trips, from the moment you decided to travel to the moment you stepped off the airport property at your destination, on a scale of 1-7 how satisfied are you?”
