I should return to Conrad Bangkok given your comments. Athenee is cheaper than Conrad at the moment, but given the situation with suites Athenee vs Conrad, then the price difference is misleading.
Indeed, I find the breakfast at PA underwhelming as well. The staff is super nice, but that has been the case everywhere I stayed in Thailand recently! I am actually meeting with the director of sales at Conrad on saturday morning to discuss a long-stay rate for the suites, will update you guys on here. I was told the conrad suite they have for my next stay is not renovated but I said i am sure it will be just fine
