Really newbie question:
Can LH, or any other airline, cancel my fully paid tickets, simply due to the fact that they're "too cheap"? An explanation: I booked four RT tickets to/from MIA, out late April 2021, back early May 2021, Economy Basic. I booked the tickets on the exact day the return date was bookable, and got the tickets at ~535€ pp. This was while both MIA legs were to be operated by an A388. However, now after all A388s have been removed from FRA, and the MIA legs are to be operated by B748, the tickets prices have increased quite a bit. From a few random searches, about 10-20% THROUGHOUT the year, from August up until latest possible date in May 2021. I am aware of booking classes (we booked in L, which is possibly the cheapest and most restrictive booking class, and the first to be offered?), but it would seem that the general fare has increased by roughly 15%, even if I today try and book with the latest possible return date. Thus, class L has possibly also increased.
Can they cancel our tickets and give us a full refund, hence forcing us to rebook at today's fares or with another airline, simply just because they would lose money on our tickets? Incidentally, we're flying to MIA to go on a cruise, and the cruise line's terms clearly state that they can require a surcharge if the oil barrel price gets above a certain amount, but I haven't really found any similar writing in LH's terms, although I have admittedly not read them in full.
Thanks in advance.
