Furthermore, I can confirm that CX252/253 was added on 18JUL2002, operating 4 times a week (2367) and increasing the total frequency from 14 to 18 per week. CX253/HKGLHR had 1505/2105 while CX252/LHRHKG had 1305/0800+1. The inflight ad card placed in the meal tray said "LONDON Light Fly to London between lunch and dinner" in English and "倫敦寫意飛行下午啟程即晚輕鬆抵達倫敦" in Chinese. This was around the same time that CXpress and the "Asia's world city" special livery were introduced.

By the time CX256/257 was added, the meal tray ad card said
"4 Times Daily between Hong Kong and London. The only airline that moves you around the clock. 每日4班香港直飛倫敦，早午晚隨時動身。"
"With our new morning flight, we move you between Hong Kong and London 4 times a day - and offer smooth connections to over 90 destinations worldwide. Cathay Pacific wishes you and your family a wonderful holiday season."

So the timeline should be:
17JUL2002 and before: CX250/251/254/255, 14 flights a week
From 18JUL2002 to 30NOV2005: CX252/253 added, initially with 4 flights a week (18 flights a week) but then became daily (21 flights a week) sometime before Oct. 2005
01DEC2005 on: CX256/257 added, 28 flights a week
