Your numbers are only as good as your sources. Remember deaths from each country vary based on how they count deaths. I'd say beyond the trend the absolute number comparisons between countries is fraught with risk.
The number that I think is the most trustworthy is the excess death numbers. Those are much less susceptible to reporting differences.
