I'm in China. Why do I need a local to book an airline ticket? It shouldn't be complicated, especially for an "international" airline.
You asked for advice, I gave you advice. With Chinese airlines, it is much easier for a westerner to use Ctrip. It is not complicated, and they are very often
cheaper than the prices quoted on the airline's websites.
