Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but IMO the waiting list clears by status first, then within the same status by fare purchased. So you should be in pretty good shape with your B fare.
Rolling cabins to free up more seats happens frequently, though I would never count on it.
I've also seen AA sell "upgrades" to First and Business for a few hundred dollars / Euros at check-in lately for their international flights to the U.S.. Don't know how this comes into play as far as your position on the waiting list goes. Maybe some J travellers will go for F and open that seat for you.
