Thank you so much. It worked! While I'm on here, I figured I would ask 2 more questions I had being this is my first time flying.
1. After booking a flight through American Airlines, Will my terminal number show up on my confirmation email or the app. I've read it shows up but mine doesn't. Unless its too far in advance because I booked it a few months early.
2. What do I need to take with me, other than my license and bags. Do I have to print anything out to take to the airport with me or do I just need my confirmation code?

First time flying, huh? You picked a good time.
What airport are you flying out of? Some airports are only one terminal, so all you need to know is your gate. In some airports AA flies only out of one terminal and you can find that out on the airport's web site. If it's like DFW, where you could be flying out of one of 5 terminals, you won't know that until the day before. And even then, it could change an hour or two before departure. It should show up on the app.
Just an ID and bags. You can check in and print your boarding pass from home, or check in via the app and display the BP to TSA and at the gate. In both cases you'll have your BP and won't have to interact with a kiosk or person at the airport, unless you're checking a bag. There is probably a thread somewhere on FT with hints and tips for first time flying in general.
