Also, now would be a good time to register for a Gold Challenge. Your one trip across the pond may qualify you for Gold.
In fact if this is a return fare, then you would receive 1.5 Q-Points per mile and should qualify for the plat challange which is 10K points within ninty days. You would qualify for the gold challange on the way over to LAX, whether you can get both challanges to run concurrently is a whole other question. When I did the Plat challange a few years ago I tried but could not. Good luck on your trip and the upgrade.
