You may want to CALL for processing the refund on the wrong cards bought. 2 posters upthread have gotten their refunds quickly - both requested by CALLING.

I bought one $250 earlier with CSR to use the remaining travel credit for 2020. Less than 30 sec both order confirmation and eGC details came to inbox regular folder. Already registered the eGC to the existing account which has physical GCs bought from properties during various AMEX Offers in 2019.
Strongly recommend to register your GCs, any GCs if there is such function from the issuers. That way in case your GCs are lost or hacked, it is much easier to get replacement.
