It’s the same length as BOS-LAX (which AA also flies with an A321), but without the headwind component as it’s a North-south Route. So it shouldn’t be an issue.

Actually, it's an A321neo, not standard A321. The standard A321 doesn't have enough range. Out of range.
MIA-LIM is scheduled on the regular A321, not the NEO.
