Wasn’t it the rule then that after one year of legal residency in Sweden a person’s non-Swedish license is no longer to be used in Sweden except perhaps to be used to acquire a Swedish license? I recall the Stockholm police pulling over a friend of mine for using an Australian (or some other) driving license and being nice about it once but then on the second and third catch it caused hassles and gave him a couple of years of problems before being eligible for a Swedish license. IIRC it was due to wrongful use of a foreign license in Sweden by a person registered as a year-round resident of Sweden.
It’s buyer beware when buying insurance everywhere.
