A number of folk do seem to be obsessing over irrelevant minutiae, instead of considering the core purpose of the article and the underlying points it seeks to convey. We will almost certainly see more such pedantry through the thread.

The OP has given the thread what appears to be a rather perplexing title, viz :
Daily Mail writing hogwash again about BA”.
We are then told, just below the thread title, that the piece is “a complete and utter load of trollop”.

And yet - even setting aside this unwarranted use of such sensationalist language by the OP - the substance of the article is not actually focused on British Airways. No, it centres instead on the (current) total freedom of passenger movement by air - both out of and into, the UK.

The DM writer - by way of a practical reality check on this apparent absence of any travel restrictions - decides to make an overseas trip himself ; and just happens to use the BA Holidays website as his booking vehicle. He relates details about his experience of passing through LHR, and then taking a flight to Amsterdam.

I’m not at all clear which precise parts of the DM article could be deemed ‘hogwash’ On the contrary : it seems, on the face of it, to be factually accurate to me. And indeed the OP himself offers only one clue as to why exactly he should be so unhappy with the DM ..... which is this :

The one bit I do take particular issue with is implying UK nationals are able to go on holiday to Japan right now that is complete BS - Visa free waiver has been suspended for over a month now even for permanent residents since beginning of April.”

I suspect the OP’s criticism highlighted above is provoked by these words appearing in the DM piece :

“ ....British Airways alone offers holiday deals across the US and Europe, as well as Mexico, Japan and Hong Kong .....”

Well .... perhaps the OP should be taking “particular issue” not with the Daily Mail - but with BA Holidays. I say this because - regardless of actual visa restrictions - it is perfectly possible to book a flights + hotel holiday to Japan, on the BAH website. As a quick experiment I got right through to the payment page for such a holiday, in mid-July (screenshot below).

I think, in short, the OP exemplifies the way in which some FT-ers, and indeed many users of social media, driven by their inherent and sometimes irrational hatred of the Daily Mail, rush to smear the publication at every conceivable opportunity, rather than examine more rigorously the actual content of articles which may have caught their eye.
