Air New Zealand will be the launch customer for a new upgraded moving map system when it installs a new in-flight entertainment system on 15 Boeing aircraft.

Eight new B777-200s and seven existing B747-400 aircraft will be fitted out in mid 2005 with Rockwell Collins’ new Airshow 4200 system.

The system offers high-definition, three-dimensional moving maps, flight information panels and real-time ticker-tape news.
